Chapter 65

• The forest was thick with the scent of pine and earth as Lupa, Ulva, Kali, Ash, two guards, and three elders ventured deeper into the woods. Their footsteps were quiet, each one aware of the dangers lurking beyond the trees. Lupa had never imagined seeking help from others outside of their kind, but the threat of Christian Lowe demanded desperate measures.
• After a while, the group emerged into a small clearing, a large cave loomed before them, the entrance shadowed by moss and creeping vines. From within, a figure emerged. A tall, broad-shouldered woman with piercing green eyes and dark hair braided down her back. Her presence was commanding, and it was clear she was the leader of her family.
• "Wolves," the woman greeted, her voice deep and gravelly. "This is unusual, to what do I owe the visit?’’
