• As I stepped out of the gate, towering trees welcomed me. My heart sank as I saw their thick trunks stretched towards the sky. ‘We are trapped’ I told myself as I scanned the surroundings, hoping to find another way out. I turned my glance at the gate, but I couldn't go back in. Going back to that prison would never be an option.
• “Where should we go from here?” I asked Emily, hoping she would have answers, but I answer weakened my courage.
• “I don't know,” she cried out in fear and confusion. “I've never used the back gate before. I didn't know this place existed until now.” She added.
