Chapter 66 Nicholas
- I slowly opened my eyes, groggily taking in my surroundings. My head was pounding, and my mind was foggy. I tried to remember how I ended up here, but my memories were hazy. I vaguely remember going to the bar after work, drinking a few shots, and then...then things got fuzzy.
- As I scanned the room, remnants of the previous night started to come back to me. I remembered walking through the front door, and then... Nicole. Oh God, Nicole. My mind racing, I tried to put the pieces of what had happened between us together. But it was all jumbled, like a dream I couldn't quite hold onto.
- Panic set in as I looked around the room, but she was nowhere to be found. Where had she gone? Why wasn't she there? I threw off the covers and sat up, trying to shake off the haze. But my head only ached more, and my memories remained scattered.
