Chapter 16 Nicholas

• I made sure Nicole was not in the living room before I tiptoed out of my room. I know I could go out without her knowledge, but I don't want her to make a mountain out of a mole again. The argument tonight was enough. I don't want another one with her.
• Maybe it would be for the best if I just agreed to the divorce. Maybe it was time to let Nicole go. I tried my best to be a good friend even if I was not a good husband. I really wished things could work out with us, but I don't know if it would ever be possible.
• Now that she was with Julian, maybe she would be happy with him. Maybe she would have peace with Julian. Defeat washed over me as I pictured her smiling with Julian.
