Chapter 8
- Sara fidgeted with her short dress, adjusting the hem for what felt like the hundredth time. She shot Madison a dirty look, still annoyed that her friend had convinced her to wear such a revealing outfit.
- "I hate you, Maddy," Sara said, her voice low but firm. "I told you I'm not comfortable in this dress. It's too short, and I feel like I'm flashing everyone in this club."
- Madison laughed and playfully rolled her eyes. "Oh, come on, Sara! You're such a grandma girl. At least try to stop talking like your mom for one night. Everyone wears dresses like this to clubs. What did you want to wear, a sweater set and pearls?"
