• Sara’s eyes sparkled openly as she spun her fictitious love tale. She started her story and stopped and said to me, "I noticed him in the library". "And I...liked him."
• She gathered herself for a moment and then continued. “It never crossed my mind that we would run into one another in a very unpredictable setting. I went for an interview and saw him there . . . . His best friend was an interviewer and an assistant to him.”
• Austin looked straight back at her and without a second thought he interrupted in his usual sarcastic way. “I found her interesting at the outset, but I did not know she’d be rapidly becoming my friend’s assistant.”
