Chapter 34
- Ryder's elegant black car slid effortlessly over the rain-soaked streets, its windshield wipers swaying back and forth in a consistent motion. Still seething, Sara sat rigidly in the backseat, arms crossed and eyes fixed on the window. Her pain and indignation remained.
- Austin sat next to her, his eyes glued on the back of the driver's head, his expression a harsh mask. Sara had not expected him to talk any words since their argument.
- Sara and Austin got out of the car in front of the airport and avoided umbrellas and rushing passengers as they entered the terminal. The airport was hectic; harried airline employees and irritated passengers' noises permeated the air.
