Chapter 14

• Austin stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, his eyes fixed on the cityscape outside. His shoulders were tense, his jaw clenched in frustration. Christopher walked into the room, a knowing glint in his eye.
• "Still upset because of Sara, huh?" Christopher asked, his voice low and teasing. "Come on, man, you're Austin Reed. Since when did you start letting a girl get under your skin? And anyway, she's not trying to seduce anyone, unlike the women you usually...ahem...encounter."
• Austin's eyes narrowed, his gaze still fixed on the outside world. "I'll be at peace the day that girl is out of my company," he muttered, his voice dripping with venom.
