Chapter 76 Nightmares

• AMAYA’S POV
• After Max’s recovery, I suggested that he stay with me in the meantime since Malia took a break back in LA and no one can take care of him. It was great having him around as I returned to work being so busy. It has been three days now and I still haven’t stabilized everything especially when Vanique has been trying to control my workload because of my condition. But there was something odd that I had noticed lately, Hugo tends to visit here constantly. I remembered the time when Ken got angry with Max and Hugo which may be related to Vanique. So I scheduled a dinner date with my sister alone to talk about the things I missed in her life. Noah offered to drive us to the restaurant while Max was on his way to visit his friend, Ace. Though as we were inside the car, Vanique and Noah didn’t even talk to each other. It was the first time I felt awkward being around them because they were always energetic and had something to talk about. Since they got married, it never changed like this.
• When we arrived the tension was lifted off and Vanique sighed in relief. I was eager to ask her already but I just needed to be patient and wait until we can sit at our table. We walked around the place and she was smiling. I’m confused.
