Chapter 81
- Parker quietly drove through the lonely road, his mind racing as sped toward the location Xavier had pinpointed, but had told him not to come. He couldn’t shake off the feeling that something had gone terribly wrong.
- Just then his heart skipped a beat when he spotted a car zooming past in the opposite direction. He caught a fleeting glimpse of Sophia in the passenger seat, her wide eyes fixed ahead in fear, with Pierce gripping the wheel beside her. He took in the scene with wide eyes.
- Without a second thought, he swung his car around, tyres screeching as he took off in pursuit. The engine roared, pushing him closer until he was right on their tail. When he had the chance, he didn’t hold back—He swerved hard, ramming his car into Pierce’s vehicle. The impact force sent Pierce’s car sideways, but he quickly recovered, shooting Parker a murderous glare through the window. Metal scraped against Pierce’s car as Parker’s car collided again, jerking Pierce’s car off course.
