• Amber stood in front of the mirror, checking her reflection one last time,making sure that everything was perfect. It was their last night in Japan and The Chens had specially prepared all of them a farewell dinner at the hotel, a double celebration marking not only their departure but also the Chens' own wedding anniversary.
• As she smoothed her dress, Xavier’s voice called out from the other side. “Amber, are you ready?”
• “Almost!” She replied, grabbing her purse and double-checking its content as her eyes sparkled with excitement. “Okay, I’m ready now.”
