Chapter 3 My Crippled Mate Is The Alpha
- Ariel's POV
- Staring at Sarah made me realize that not only were we just going to the Ryham company, we were actually going to interview the Alpha himself.
- The Ryham group had suddenly grown in the financial industry two years ago. It was what made the Newstone Pack what it was today. No one knew how they did it, but what intrigued everyone most was the Alpha himself.
- His name, looks, and voice were known to no one in the pack. It was more like he had stayed hidden for a reason.
- Members of the pack barely saw him, and there were no photos of him on the internet yet. It was really scary too.
- Just as I was still lost in my thoughts, Sarah spoke up, “Ariel… are you listening to me at all?”
- She had kept explaining how she'd win him over to herself. How she'd become his mate and the next Luna of the pack.
- I chuckled at the sound of her words, “Are you sure you want to be marked by him? I mean, no one has seen him before. What if he's bald and old?”
- She shook her head like she knew him so well. “He can't be old, Ariel. Rumors have it that he's still young. And I would be the last person to not make use of this opportunity.” She giggled, twirling in her skin-tight gown.
- “You definitely are going to make a crazy first impression, Sarah,” I teased as I watched her.
- At that moment, Jenny walked over to us, her voice cutting through our conversation. “Who wouldn't want to make a crazy impression on the most wealthy and good-looking bachelor in the Newstone Pack?” she scoffed, supporting Sarah.
- “We are going there to interview him too. We need to make him respond to all our questions and get a photo of him too. Our magazine would definitely rank top if we achieve these in the pack,” Jenny explained, making me nod reluctantly.
- Soon, we were ready to leave. With one photographer joining us, we headed straight off to the Ryham group.
- Sarah wouldn't stop whining about her fantasies, which made me laugh at her most times. It was funny, no doubts.
- Once we arrived at the Ryham group, we headed for the receptionist, who directed us to the office for the interview after we informed her we were from the Newstone magazine.
- We got to the office, and just as we were still waiting for the Alpha to show up, Sarah tugged at my sleeves, calling my attention to herself.
- “How do I look? Please tell me my makeup is still good,” she asked, making me snort before shaking my head.
- “Take a chill pill, Sarah… he's just a…” I was going to say when just then, the sudden movement outside the office caught my attention.
- A glass frame blocked my clear view of the person outside the office, but why was he in a wheelchair? And even more confusing, I had just realized that his surname was alike to that of my just-marked mate.
- I was still looking confused when Sarah, who had been bugging me, turned towards the direction I faced. “The Alpha is here, and he's in a wheelchair?”
- They all had other things to say, but what remained in my mind was different. Why was I seeing…
- Just as I tried gathering my thoughts, the door to the office finally clicked open. A lady walked in first.
- After she did, he glided in, and just to end my suspicions, which sent shock waves down my spine, I found Ryan Hamilton, my mate, rolling into the office.
- Not as anyone else, but as the Alpha of the Newstone Pack and also the owner of the Ryham group.
- “Oh no, Ariel… did you just get marked by the Alpha of the Newstone Pack without knowing it?”
