Chapter 116 Hundred And Sixteen
- ARIEL’S POV
- I stood there, stiff, my chest tight, my throat raw as I bit back the burn crawling up. I tried to keep my face steady, but the heat behind my eyes refused to die down. I watched him.. I watched Ryan and for the first time in weeks, my heart slammed so hard it made me dizzy. This man had been good to me from the very first day. Even when I’d doubted him. Even when I’d thought the worst of him. Even when I’d questioned if I belonged here at all. He hadn’t stopped. He hadn’t walked away. And now he was here, smiling like he couldn’t stop, filling our home with things I’d never even dared to dream about.
- I stayed silent, my lips pressed together as tight as my fists. I couldn’t speak. I couldn’t even breathe properly. He wheeled closer, the soft hum of the chair grounding me, his arm brushing mine like it always did—steady, warm, unshakable. Together, we stood there watching as the omegas were carried box after box, bag after bag. Fruits. Clothes. Accessories. Baby things. Things for me. Things for a future I wasn’t sure I deserved but wanted more than anything.
