- The ache in my bones woke me up, Every joint throbbed. My muscles were sore, scraped, bruised, and every movement sent tiny stabs of pain up my spine. I groaned and curled tighter beneath the blanket, refusing to open my eyes. But the stiffness in my limbs reminded me too much of last night.the shadows, the claws, the scent of blood. My own blood.
