Chapter 106 Hundred And Six

  • RYAN'S POV
  • I sat there, elbows on my knees, staring at the girl I wasn’t supposed to care about. Maya. Her skin pale against the white sheets, her chest barely lifting with each breath. The pack doctor had just walked out—said she’d be fine. Bryan was gone for a bottle of water, said he’d tell the omegas to prepare food for when she woke. I didn’t reply. What was there to say?
  • I hated this. I hated sitting here like this. My jaw ached from clenching too hard. My fingers itched for something to hold on to. But there was nothing. Nothing except the sound of her breathing and the noise inside my head, screaming at me for being here. Screaming at me for what I’d done.
