• Bryan was up to something, I knew it, and whatever it was, I’d let him play his games to satisfaction. I'd known for a long time he was bound to bring her up to me. All I wanted to see was how he’d handle the matter. After all, we’d been distant from each other ever since the beginning of our lives.
• I didn’t know much about the fight that happened between he and Rick, didn’t know why their love fell apart, but I was certain it had something to do with two years ago. Ariel had been drugged… and someone had taken advantage of her in that situation, paid her off. Somehow Bryan found out and believed she was a whore, selling herself out for money. That had been the end of the research beta Derek made. I’d spoken to him about needing more of the story.
