• After I had packed our bags and arranged every other thing that morning, I began shedding tears. I was going to miss my father. The thought of leaving him in the dark made me feel like a terrible daughter. When was I going to tell him the whole truth?
• If not that he would insist on seeing me, I would have given him the news over the phone. I went to his place wearing a long face bidding to tell him that after losing my husband in a car crash, I’d like to travel for some time. He sympathized with me and told me I could stay at his place for as long as possible, but I declined. I promised to call him often and bid him farewell before leaving his house.
