• I had just gotten back from the hospital. As I entered the house, I settled down on the couch. I had been acting all feisty since the news of the pregnancy that I forgot about Maxwell's plans to take Adrian down.
• I had thought of ways to tell Adrian but doubted if he was going to believe me. I was scared that he would see me as the enemy instead. From what I knew and had seen, Maxwell was someone Adrian trusted so much. He was nice to him, even when he was being rude to every other person.
