• Maxwell’s POV:
• “Yeah, I’m very sorry about that. We had a brief meeting with our boss just before the close of work today, and I was given some tasks to complete before leaving. Additionally, I’ve been asked to be at work tomorrow to fill in for one of our staff members who won’t make it due to her bad health. You know what that means, right?” She coughed, her voice strained.
• “I won’t be able to make it early to work from your place in the morning because of the distance. So, I’ll have to reschedule my visit for Sunday. Since you don’t attend church, that shouldn’t be a problem, right?”
