Chapter 83

• Kiara groaned as she struggled to open her eyes, she expected the sun to be up high in the sky with how much her eyes burned, but to her surprise, the sun was setting instead. She groaned again when she realized she was lying on a staircase and her body was pressing into the sharp edges of the staircase.
• “You are awake,” an oddly familiar voice said from behind her and her heart immediately dropped to her stomach, soon enough, echoes of footsteps approached and even with the pain shooting up her body, she managed to get herself to stand and turn around to face the owner of the voice.
• Her eyes slowly widened till it felt like they would pop off her socket and she staggered backwards as she came face to face with the man whose face has not left her dreams for dreams. Words flew in her head, questions swiveled, but none stayed long enough for her to voice it out.
