• Kiara walkked out of her room with a smile on her face, but her mind swirled with thoughts from her talk with Devon on their date.
• She tried to believe his words that the moon goddess wouldn't have chosen her if she wasn't capable of it, but she couldn't. She only ended up as his mate because Kristen betrayed her, there was nothing divine about a betrayal. Deep inside, she wanted to march up to Devon and tell him that she knew she wouldn't be able to fulfil the needed roles of a Luna in this pack, and that he should let her go, but she couldn't bring herself to suffer another rejection, and definitely not from him.
