• Leonidas recounted the story to Kiara, just as Kristen told him, but this time around, he did not leave out the bit of the curse attached to her blessings, the same way he had when he was forced to reveal the truth about her to the other alphas.
• Kiara raised her legs pushing her knees closer to her face, then she rested her jaw on them as she contemplated what she had just been told. The story floated in and out of her head, mingling and infusing with the dreams she’s had of her parents, and the bald priest; she felt shivers run down her spine.
