Chapter 44

• Kiara’s eyes widened but before she could ask for an explanation, Devon got up and dragged her to the car. He dismissed the driver, helped Kiara into the car and got in as well, then he drove off speedily.
• For the first few minutes of the ride, Kiara couldn’t even open her mouth to ask about what was going on. She just held her heart and reminded herself to breath as they basically flew past people, cars, trees, and it seemed the more they advanced, the faster he became, and the harder it was to breath.
• “Slow down,” Kiara finally rasped out when she couldn’t even seem to take a breath anymore.
