• Devon immediately grabbed Kiara’s hand and dragged her upstairs. Kiara tripped on her feet multiple times as she struggled to keep up with him as he dragged her across the hallway. He only let go of her once they were in the confines of a room, and he locked the door twice behind them.
• “What is wrong with you? Why did you have to drag me like that?” She tossed the book on the bed and massaged the wrist Devon held onto throughout the drag.
• His eyes immediately went to the book, and he picked it up. “How did you get this?”
