• Devon walked into the room and met Kiara seated on the bed with the most vacant look in her eyes, all the desire he had as he walked into the room disappeared into thin air and he rushed over to her.
• “Kiara, are you okay?” He tried to reach out to her, but she flinched and moved out of his hold. Devon froze and glanced down at his hands, then at her face, he opened his mouth to ask her what was wrong, but he caught the book lying beside her with his peripheral vision and his heart sank into his stomach.
• “I see you have finally read it all.”
