Chapter 57 Exposed

• The next day Hendry saw Callie was getting all cozy and homey with his fiance, Sloan, while he was finishing up on work. He needed to go to the hospital in the morning and then go straight to the office from there. He was confident that Sloan would take care of Callie for them. There was something about his young man that Hendry noticed. Sloan had always been great in dire situations, he just couldn't handle doing nothing. This was why his fiance fought hard when Hendry told him to take time off from the office after his brother's assault.
• "Morning, I see that you're busy today. It's okay, you know...I can take Callie to the hospital and you can go to the office. You have morning internal meetings today, right?" Sloan asked when Hendry walked towards them.
• "You know I do. You set all of my appointments, but I can move them around. And to ease your mind, I have moved my morning meetings and fit them for my five o'clock then we'll just continue until we're done. I am sure my head departments can use the overtime."
