Chapter 18 Luncheon
- It has been one week since Hendry met Sloan's family, and he had been pleasantly surprised when he met them. His mom was warm and welcoming. His overprotective sister asked a lot of questions, while her husband talked about how Hendry shouldn't worry about Vera, telling him that she means well and that she loves her brother dearly.
- What surprised him the most was Sloan's nieces and nephew. Hendry never cared for kids much, but hearing Sloan's adorable nieces asking about him being their uncle's boyfriend, then Alexa yapping about her friend's dads and how it would be so awesome to have girls as future kids. They all had been his enlightenment. It was a wonder how Hendry's perspective of his future was being laid out in the open by toddlers.
- "Mr. Camden, am I interrupting your deep thoughts on how to conquer the business world, again? Or are you just gazing out looking all serious while in reality, you have bad dirty thoughts about us?" Sloan teased, his voice low after closing the door behind him before he walked closer to his desk with a stack of documents that needed his approval.
