Chapter 37 Loved

• Sloan didn't know how to process his feelings. He had never been in such a position where he had people looking out for him, taking care of him sincerely. Callie and Brody had been good with him last night, they stayed with him and they even made sure Hendry was good to him. Sloan had known Hendry for years. He knew that it was taking all of him to be patient with his questions. Hendry had always been demanding and Sloan was flattered that Hendry managed not to force him to speak about what happened.
• He knew once Hendry found that it was his brother's doing, all hell would break loose. For the time being, Sloan wanted nothing more than just to be with the man he loved. To be in his arms and to be cared for.
• "Can I leave you here for a while? I'm going to get our lunch and that Arnica ointment, okay?" Hendry asked after almost an hour of being by his side, saying nothing, demanding nothing, but just holding Sloan in his arms saying that he loved him. "Or are you ready to go back to my place and we can get food and your medication on our way back?"
