Chapter 38 Between

• After their big fight, Sloan had left, and Hendry felt like his heart was torn in two. He spent hours staying up and wondering where he went wrong. It was not until Brody called that he felt his heart sink when his best friend told him that he had Sloan with him and said not to freak out when Henry saw him.
• Brody had pulled Hendry aside, giving him a summary that Sloan had been assaulted when he was leaving Hendry's place after their big fight. He told Hendry to go easy on him, telling him that Sloan had been seen by a doctor and given medications. Brody hugged him, he kissed his forehead when Hendry hugged him back.
• "So are you ready to talk?" Hendry couldn't resist but finally asked when he helped Sloan shower and dressed into his clothes. The clothes that Hendry had packed up along with his own on his way to Brody's. The bruises were getting more visible and Hendry helped Sloan apply the Arnica ointment to reduce the swelling.
