Chapter 10 Reality

• After Brody got back from dinner at Callie's parents he remembered Hendry's call, also his short text telling his best friend that he was at dinner with Callie's family. But it was not until Brody got home and saw the takeaway bags on his front door that he realized Hendry had left in a hurry. He could've easily left them in the fridge, he has keys to Brody's house and that was when he knew that he had hurt his best friend's feelings.
• It was late and the damage had been done, so he decided to wait to patch things up the next day. Brody decided that he was going to bring Hendry's favorite coffee and bagels for brunch. And that was how the next day when he lets himself inside Hendry's apartment, Brody found not only Hendry was still in his bed, but he was naked. His limbs tangled with his assistant's, looking like they had thoroughly fucked themselves to exhaustion.
• Brody should've left the second he saw them. It was not the first morning he saw Hendry naked in his bed with one of his conquests. It had never failed to evoke his jealousy, but seeing Hendry being spooned from behind and held by Sloan, Brody saw the vulnerability in his best friend. Then, when Hendry's eyes fluttered open he saw the hurt. And from there, things got messy.
