- “Is this really supposed to keep me out?” I heard his voice but I found it hard to believe it was really Riven’s voice.
- He was cold, unfeeling and unwelcoming. It was a fact I knew from the very first day I set my eyes on him yet I had – I didn’t know what to say. Would I say I had deluded myself or purposely turned a blind eye to the kind of person he was or was I truly blinded by the fact that he was so protective of me that I pretended to have forgotten?
- It wasn’t easy escaping that castle in the middle of nowhere. I had been like a bird trapped in a beautifully constructed cage and at the time, I hadn’t known it. I sprained my ankle when I jumped out of the window and had to shift to make it out somewhere I could find someone to help. It wasn’t wise shifting with an injury but it had been my only option.
