- Elijah, this bastard! He’d once again ruined what I’d worked so hard to achieve! Riven stood with the door wide open behind in. On the ground outside lay a pile of unmoving bodies. I could only hope they were not dead.
- Riven – this man whose eyes had started to calm, this man who, before I fell asleep, looked almost back to normal – now seemed back on the verge of losing his senses. His blue eyes were almost pitch black and his hair swayed in the harsh wind that always seemed to follow him.
- “You – you are here,” Elijah mustered up every bit of his bravado to puff out his chest as he stood straight. “Who do you think you are to kidnap the princess?” He demanded in a tone that quivered.
