Chapter 51

• Standing there as my adoptive father’s corpse was lowered into the ground, I felt a varying range of emotions but one thing that stuck out to me was the bad omen following me around recently. My adoptive father died after an accident and then my driver and bodyguard died in an accident on the day of his funeral. The sudden death of the two people who I saw earlier today left me in a strange mood. It almost surpassed the melancholy I felt upon watching the closed casket lowering into the ground.
• Once the ceremony ended, a small reception followed. I had planned to leave once Beta Sinclair was lowered to the ground after paying my final respects but Martha had another idea.
