Chapter 59
- RIVEN’S POV
- Three days had passed and there was still no sight of Kamari. Every time I got hold of her scent, I missed it by mere kilometers and had to start searching all over again. They were on the run, constantly moving, and their scents were all mixed in, overpowering hers. They were using some chemicals too, plants with strong scents and wet dogs. Anything to throw me off their tail.
- But no matter how much they masked, Kamari’s scent still stood out. My beast latched on and committed it to memory. Even the slightest wind blowing her scent would immediately alert me.
