- He came in with a light wind that had Audrey stumbling as if she’d set eyes upon an angel too beautiful to behold. As she chanted the word ‘mate’ under her breath, I watched Riven as he walked into the store with his gaze fixed on me.
- The store attendants straightened their posture. The owner of the store and the workers who were attending to us held their breaths. Everywhere became tense yet he moved with the ease of a light breeze. His hair even fluttered like he was in a hair commercial.
- “I found you.” He stopped in front of me, his deep blue eyes swirling with an emotion I couldn’t name.
