Chapter 12
- When I first met this man, I knew that he could hurt me as easily as one could snap a finger. The dangerous aura he radiated was the first thing I noticed about him but then I looked at his face and got distracted by his meticulously crafted features. The goddess had taken her time in sculpting his face with high cheekbones, a strong jaw, and perfectly shaped full lips that carried sensuality. He had a face that the goddess had designed to wreak havoc so, naturally, his face distracted me from his dangerous aura.
- After that, I noticed how – empty he was. There was no other way to describe it. He did not smile, did not frown, did not laugh and certainly didn’t bark. He had an inscrutable expression, a blank, impassive look. His movements were calculated and everything he did just felt – empty.
- It was like he had given up on life. Like he was bored of even his existence.
