• We walked round the whole house almost in circles, it was indeed a big house like a manor. He had taken me to his father’s big garage that contained many cars in it. “We can ride anyone you want,” he said. Even though the offer was too tempting, I couldn’t say yes to him, thank God Abby wasn’t close by, she would have made me say yes, or she would have said yes for me. I didn’t want any more rides. I wasn’t the kind to be on a ride for a long time.
• “So, when your parents are away, do you stay here all alone?” I asked him. I was only curious because the house was so big, and someone like me wouldn't last one day in that house alone, it was way too big for just a person to live in. Maverick’s house wasn’t as big as Taylor’s fathers.
