Chapter 43

• NATALIE’S P . O . V
• I went over to Abby and told her about my plan but she didn’t look like she didn't mind, she was getting angry even though she tried to not show it. We both followed Taylor in his white Beamer and he began to drive to his house. My phone beeped, it was Maverick when I checked; I had ended saving his number as ‘Jerk head’. Of course he was a jerk head, the one I was married to, he was the jerk head that I hated. I just hate my parents, they didn't even choose a better man to get me married to, maybe a man like Taylor or even better. They had to choose Maverick. I would have grown old and died without even knowing he existed if they did not get me married to him. I began to think, there had to be a way to make Maverick let me go, there had to be even if it was one way. I had to find out, I wouldn't just let myself wallow in his house without a life. If he had it in mind to keep me as his house wife, it wouldn't work, I had to do something to make sure he did set me free. I concluded that was going to be my new goal, since I didn't get into law school, for a replacement, I would find a plan to make myself free from Maverick.
• I looked over at Abby, soon she would leave for college and I would be left alone. All the plans and goals we both made to go to school together in London ended up being shattered because of Maverick. If anyone asked me to make a wish, I would wish that he broke his leg and never walk again, for tearing my life apart. For me, I think Maverick is selfish, it was obvious he just wanted to please his parents by accepting to marry me, he didn't even think that I might not be in support of getting married to him, he didn't even think that I may have a life that I wish to have or a dream I want to pursue. I would hate him forever and surely get him to send me away from his house. I couldn't hate my parents even though I tried but I blame them so much too, especially my father for using me to satisfy whatever urge by signing the damn contract. I wish I knew when he signed it, I would have done something very daring, but now that I was being trapped, it felt almost impossible to try and get out from the entanglement. I’ll try my best regardless even if I had to fail multiple times.
