• A week had passed. A whole damn week, and neither Alpha Darius nor those damn vampires had shown up. They’d both sworn to destroy my pack, and yet... nothing. I wasn’t sure if I should be relieved or more worried. If they had come, we wouldn’t have stood a chance. Not then, and definitely not now.
• But things had been looking up. New recruits had joined us, thanks to Alex. Thirty strong lone wolves, all tough as nails.
