- Leo's POV
- I sank into my bed, feeling the weight of exhaustion pull me down. The bath had done its job, easing my muscles after a hellish week, and all I wanted now was to sleep. But of course, peace wasn’t in the cards. I could sense Clark before he even knocked. His scent, his footsteps—it was all too familiar.
- “Come in,” I called out, not bothering to sit up. My voice was sharp, impatient. “Make it quick, Clark. Whatever it is, spit it out. I’m beat.”
