- After Andrea and I finished eating the frozen chicken white pepper soup Cynthia prepared for us, we decided to spend some time with her. Andrea seemed unusually quiet, picking at her nails as if deep in thought. Then, out of nowhere, she stood up abruptly.
- "I have something important to do," she announced, her voice rushed. She didn’t even glance my way before heading for the door.
