• I bolted straight to my room the second Alpha Damon told me to leave. Finally, I could be alone with my wolf, Lita. I’d missed her so much, it hurt.
• “Lita, are you there?” I called out, my voice trembling a little. Silence. My stomach twisted in knots. Why wasn’t she answering? Could she have disappeared again? No, that couldn’t be it. Panic clawed at my chest as I called out louder, “Lita! Are you there? Please answer me! Where are you?”
