• Charlotte's phone suddenly rang, the screen flashing her mother's name. She swiped to answer, her voice tense but controlled. "Hi, Mom."
• Her mother’s worried tone came through clearly. "Charlotte, what’s happening with all those reporters? Are you okay? What should we do now?"
• Charlotte clenched her jaw, the fury from the media assault still burning inside her. Taking a deep breath, she steadied herself. "I'm fine, Mom. Really. Don’t worry. Just ignore them. Please, don’t let those reporters interfere in our lives. We have to stay strong and keep our distance."
