  • “What are you so proud of, Mr. Carter? I don’t want to touch trash either. Believe me, even if you were the only man in the world, I wouldn’t choose you as my partner,” I said coldly, my voice steady despite the tension in the air.
  • He stepped closer, his presence intimidating. Maybe he was furious, or perhaps he simply didn’t like being challenged. I thought to myself, You always give me new reasons to hate you, Howard. His eyes were locked onto mine, intense and piercing, but this time, I didn’t flinch. I realized I had to toughen up; I had to become a “bitch” to handle this confrontation.
  • The atmosphere was charged with unspoken words. I could feel the weight of his stare, as if it were pressing down on me. I stood my ground, refusing to let his anger intimidate me. The space between us felt electric, and the silence was deafening.
