• Inside the operating room, Charlotte watched the monitors closely, her nerves steady but her heart anxious. The patient’s vital signs finally stabilized, and the tension began to lift. Dr. Robert looked over to her, relief written on his face. “You did good work, Charlotte.”
• Charlotte let out a quiet sigh of relief, her lips curving into a gentle smile. Three hours had passed since she’d arrived, and exhaustion weighed on her. She glanced at the clock on the wall, then took a deep breath.
