• Howard was deep in the middle of an important meeting when the door suddenly opened. Every head in the room turned as Anastasia walked in, radiating confidence and charm as if she owned the place.
• Roger’s gaze lingered on her longer than it should have, admiration plain on his face. But Anastasia ignored everyone. She went straight to Howard, a soft smile playing on her lips as she slipped her arm around his with the ease of a child seeking attention.
• “Howard,” she said in her sweet, demanding tone, “please come shopping with me. I need to buy something perfect for Grandpa’s birthday—a dress, some accessories… please?”
