Chapter 7 Searching For Excuses

• The taxi carrying Edeline finally came to a stop in front of Omega Hospital. The pretty young woman, dressed in a casual sporty outfit, hurried out after paying the fare.
• Edeline let out a frustrated sigh. “The taxi fare from home to the hospital is so expensive! And the bus stop is way too far! I really need to find a place closer to the hospital. If not, my savings will run out fast,” she muttered.
• She made her way inside the hospital, heading straight to the interns’ quarters, where she could change into scrubs before starting her shift in the ER. A stiff smile stretched across her lips when she crossed paths with senior doctors in the hallway. To Edeline, their presence was intimidating—cold expressions, devoid of warmth, left her too uneasy to greet them.
