- I blinked out of my shock at Alpha Lucas's worried tone. His grip on my shoulder was strong and the look on his face was one of concern that made me wonder just how long I spaced out. But given the way my heart was pounding and my palms sweaty, I think I would rather ditch that thought and head home right now.
