• Irene’s POV
• I held down a defensive and deliberate position with my troops to prevent the enemy from lunging for the main force. But the enemies seem quite determined to get at the rare. And Karson is fighting hard with his team to keep them away. With the collaboration between both packs, we are faced with different tactics from each soldier. But that didn’t stop my warriors from bringing them down. It is a fight to finish.
• I harnessed every strength that I possessed, fighting every enemy off from getting their way. My mind kept going back to my children and hoping they listened to my instructions. As curious as I am to know how they are doing, I had to stay focused. My men need me. My pack also needs me. I chose to trust my kids. They wouldn’t want to be torn away from me.
