• The night air was still. I had gotten the report from the guards on patrol that we can at least get a good shut eye tonight while they look out for our safety. The enemy camp is still down from the last encounter. I sat up on the bed with my legs crossed and thoughts roaming. I try to just lie back and relax considering how I have been on my feet all day. But I couldn’t bring myself to. My body appears to be adjusting to the hastiness that the war has brought upon us for a long while now.
